About this Project
NEPCON delivered the 50MW Gharo Solar Power Plant on a turnkey basis in record time, overcoming significant site and weather challenges. The project marked a major milestone in Pakistan’s renewable energy sector by adding substantial solar capacity to K-Electric’s network.
Key Highlights & Achievements:
- Developed over 280 acres
- Construction of 132/22kV GIS substation
- Installation of 1,462 tracker systems and 131,580 PV modules
- Achieved COD on 22 December 2019
- Completed despite heavy rainfall and waterlogging challenges
