NEPCON, a leading power sector company in Pakistan has provided Supply, Erection, Installation, Testing &
Commissioning services at Gharo Solar Power Plant. NEPCON is proud to play an important role in addition
of significant amount of renewable solar power in K-Electric network on turnkey basis as a back to back
contractor of SIEMENS, Pakistan.
Project completed within the record time starting from the on-site installation in October with final testing and
commissioning in the second week of December. The project includes the construction of a 50MW Solar
Power Plant on 280 Acre of land. It’s comprises the construction of 132/22kV GIS substation and related
infrastructure that is installation of tracker system, solar panels, inverter, inverter transformers, RMUs,
22kV switchgear, power transformers, and 132kV GIS substation.
In addition to above, major installation resume on October 12, 2019 after the major rain fall in Aug & Sep 2019 caused water logging and underground water table to rise significantly causing great challenges for NEPCON team to construct the 8500 pile foundation, Cable collection networks, inverter installation, string
combiner boxes, 1462 tracker system, 131,580 PV modules with associated ancillary works. Safe and
successful completion of works enabled us to meet the client ‘’Gharo Solar Power Limited” target commercial
operation Date of December 22, 2019.
